Each year on New Year’s day, millions of people focus their attention on Pasadena, California for what has become a tradition for young and old; the Tournament of Roses Parade. This year, Tracks will be part of the millions enjoying this festival of flowers, music, and sports first-hand with our newest rally, the 121st Rose Parade.

For six days, Trackers will camp on the Santa Anita Racetrack grounds and have the opportunity to be a part of pre-parade festivities, like having a hand in the actual construction of a float for the parade, have excellent seats the day of the parade, tour the showcase of floats after the parade, and enjoy a vast array of activities throughout. Many side trips are planned to allow Trackers to really see what the Pasadena area is really like, as well as a day at the races at Santa Anita racetrack.

The Rose Parade has long been a tradition for many. More than just a parade or a game, it is America’s celebration of the New Year, a New Year’s greeting to the world, and a salute to the spirit and love for the festivities that have continued to be part of history and culture of Pasadena for more than a century.

The festivities surrounding the Tournament of Roses aren’t thrown together over night. Each year, 935 volunteer members of the Tournament of Roses Association and approximately 80,000 manpower hours play important roles in staging the parade and the Rose Bowl football game, and the results show the passion put into the spectacular event.
